About the site:
The Junior Open Wheel Talent blog was developed in 2008 by writer Ryan Stringfield. The site was created to help expose drivers in the karting and junior formula ranks to mainstream motorsport enthusiasts, as well as industry team owners. The blog focuses on testing, driver signings, and original analysis of all things junior formula. You won’t find press releases on JOWT.
About the author:
A former karter who dabbled briefly in the car ranks, Ryan Stringfield has always been passionate about racing. Once harboring dreams of making it to the top level of open-wheel racing, Stringfield knows the difficulties associated with climbing the karting and junior formula racing ladder. Previously employed as both a general assignment reporter for the NRHEG Star Eagle newspaper and later sports editor for the Waseca County News (read some of his work here), the decision to create a blog featuring up-and-coming open-wheel racers was an easy one for Stringfield.
