Opening the 2013 USF2000 National Championship right where they left off in the Winterfest, Cape Motorsports teammates Scott Hargrove and Neil Alberico claimed victories during the opening rounds at Sebring International Raceway.

In Race 1, Hargrove drove flawlessly to a seven-second margin of victory on the 3.74-mile circuit. Fellow Canadian Garett Grist followed Hargrove across the stripe after carving his way up from a ninth-place start. Danilo Estrela rounded out the podium after surrendering the runner-up spot on the white flag lap.

Florian Latorre finished fourth and Stefan Rzadzinki made it three Canadians in the top five with a fifth-place result. Jake Eidson, Wyatt Gooden, Jason Wolfe, Jeroen Slaghekke, and Henrik Furuseth completed the top 10 in the 31-car field. View the full results from Round 1 here: USF2000 Sebring R1 Race Official.

In Round 2, Alberico rebounded for the win after suffering a mechanical during the opening lap of race one. Hargrove was runner-up, retaining the championship lead, while Estrela completed the podium for the second consecutive day. Jesse Lazare finished fourth with Grist completing the top five.

Gooden, Wolfe, Furuseth, Rzadzinski, and Brandon Newey rounded out the top 10, after a few caution flags and subsequent restarts threatened the race’s 12-lap distance. View the full results from Round 2 here: USF2000 Sebring Round 2 Results.
