The Skip Barber Racing School today announced the 17th annual Skip Barber Racing Karting Scholarship Shootout will take place Nov. 4-6, 2013, at Sebring International Raceway.
An expert panel will evaluate each driver on
- On-track Performance
- Off-Track Presentation & Business Plan
- Effective Listening and Ability to Apply Feedback
- Media Training
- Driver Development
- Sponsorship
- Business Basics
Karting Scholarship Shootout Awards:
- Full Season in the Skip Barber 2013-2014 Winter or 2014 Summer Series
- $15,000 Race Series Scholarship
3rd place:
- $10,000 Race Series Scholarship
- Current outdoor karting experience
- Skip Barber Racing School 3 Day Racing School, or two Advanced Activity days prior to Shootout.
Maximum Eligibility:
- No Professional racing experience.
- No Skip Barber Racing School racing experience.
- Participants must be at least 13 years old and cannot be more than 25 years old at the date of the shootout.
- Maximum of 12 Advanced Activity days (not racing) from the 2011 to 2012 Skip Barber Karting Scholarship Shootout.
