Stefan Rzadzinski

Canadian driver Stefan Rzadzinski has signed with JDC MotorSports for the 2013 USF2000 National Championship, returning to the Mazda Road to Indy full-time after running two Indy Lights races in 2011 and 10 Star Mazda races with JDC last year.

Rzadzinski, an Edmonton native, has shown exceptional promise winning races in both the Skip Barber and Ontario Formula Ford Championship. Last season, in Star Mazda, driving for JDC, the 19-year-old earned seven top-10 finishes including a sixth-place result in his home event, the Edmonton Grand Prix.

This should prove to be a wise move for Rzadzinski. After initially planning a Pro Mazda Championship campaign, he made the tough decision to take a step back and focus on a full-time effort in the USF2000 Championship. In addition to running the national championship, the talented Canadian will garner additional seat time in the USF2000 Winterfest.

Watch for good things from Rzadzinski as he reunites with team principal John Church and the JDC squad. He joins Michael Johnson on the roster for 2013.

This guy has it right. Go back to the basics and get it right before moving up too quickly. I see drivers moving up in the MRTI that don’t have a race win in their respective series or consistent podiums.
