Canadian Gianmarco Raimondo claimed his third win of the 2012 European F3 Open Championship season Sunday at Brands Hatch, driving for RP Motorsport. The win allowed the 21-year-old race driver to reclaim the championship points lead (155). Raimondo won races earlier this season at both Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps.

F2000 Championship leader Robert La Rocca was also in attendance, finishing ninth in Race 1 before an incident early in Race 2 resulted in a DNF. Tatiana Calderon, former Star Mazda competitor, finished 10th and 12th on the weekend.

Raimondo will look to keep his championship push alive this weekend, July 22, at Paul Ricard in France. The Series will visit the Hungaroring, Monza, and Barcelona later this season.
