The 2012 Star Mazda Championship talent pool became deeper today when JDC MotorSports announced it had signed Gabby Chaves and Stefan Rzadzinski.

Chaves brings a tremendous amount of experience to the JDC camp having spent his previous two season in Europe, racing in both the Italian F3 Series (one pole position) and GP3 (five top-10s). He won the 2009 Formula BMW Americas title finishing every race on the podium while logging five wins.

Rzadzinski will be a driver to watch in 2012 as he adapts to the Star Mazda machinery. The 19-year-old Canadian finished runner-up in the Ontario Formula Ford Championship in 2009 and 2010. Last summer, he earned two wins and seven podiums in the Skip Barber Summer Series and ran the Indy Lights doubleheader at Edmonton, finishing 10th in his first-career start.
