Bruno Palli and Diego Ferreira signed with Juncos Racing to compete in the Star Mazda Championship earlier today, thanks to Team Viso Venezuela.

What’s Team Viso Venezuela?

Well, TVV is a program set up by IndyCar Series driver E.J. Viso and the drivers’ manager, designed to bring South American drivers to North America for the Mazda Road to Indy development program.

Said Viso:  “I believe that Bruno (Palli) and Diego (Ferreira) will get the job done.”

The two drivers recently completed a Star Mazda test at Roebling Road and Palm Beach International Raceway with Juncos Racing. In 2011, Palli won the Venezuelan Formula Ford 1600 Championship and the Pan Am Easykart Championship.

Ferreira spent last season in the Volkswagen-powered Latam Challenge Series Formula 2000 championship (finishing 4th in the novice class). Additionally, he spent time in go-karts competing in a DD2 Rotax kart via the Venezuelan Rotax Max Challenge Series (4th) and the competitive Florida Winter Tour (5th overall).

It will be fun to watch both drivers this season as they adapt to the Star Mazda car and Juncos Racing. It’s nice to see Viso taking an active role in helping young Venezuelan drivers advance their motorsport careers.
