Mike Larrison was injured during last weekend’s Indy Lights rookie test at Kentucky Speedway. Details of the crash and Larrison’s condition have not been released.

Larrison, 29, was planning to make his Indy Lights debut with Andretti Autosport on Oct. 16 during the season finale at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Check back for more information as additional details become available. We wish Larrison the best in his road to recovery.

Update: Indy Car released its medical update this week with more information on Larrison’s condition. According to INDYCAR Medical Director Dr. Michael Olinger, Larrison sustained a L2 lumbar spine fracture — which will not require surgery — following a single-car incident in Turn 4. In addition to his back injury, he also fractured his left heel which will require surgery.
