Scott Anderson

2011 Team USA Scholarship Nominee

Scott Anderson, 22 — Fort Collins, Colo.

Current Season: Anderson is enjoying an outstanding season in the Skip Barber National Championship. He has four poles and five wins in twelve starts and leads the championship point standings by 12 points with four races remaining. He is currently two wins away from tying the record (7 wins) set by former Team USA Scholarship driver Connor De Phillippi.

Previous Experience:

  • Karting
  • Skip Barber Karting Scholarship Shootout
  • Skip Barber Regional
  • SCCA Spec Racer Ford
  • NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill

Why he would be a good selection for the Team USA Scholarship: Anderson has taken his time developing his craft in the Skip Barber regional programs and it shows. He’s in the midst of a remarkable Skip Barber National campaign and has shown tremendous growth behind the wheel. Those close to him describe him as a quiet, focused, even methodical race driver. His in-car consistency and laid-back mindset out of the car will undoubtedly be extremely beneficial in the ultra-competitive, fierce environment presented at the Formula Ford Festival and Walter Hayes Trophy in Europe. Watch for a great performance regardless of conditions if Anderson is chosen.
