Sage Karam won his second-consecutive Star Mazda race and Josef Newgarden won his third Indy Lights race of the year Saturday at Iowa Speedway.

I’m just getting back to my computer in the media center and the IndyCar race is scheduled to start at 8 p.m., so I’m officially going into fan mode.

Watch for a full update tomorrow. For a semi-detailed race recap, make sure to review my Tweets during today’s races. Thanks for following this weekend.

I’ve been wondering how Indycar could build the support series and feature them more. I think they should race at every possible venue Indycar does. I also wonder if there’s that much difference between USF2000 and Star Madza. Might it be better just to combine those two somehow–are they really that much different. Anyway, not all that familiar (obviously) and wondered what you thought about the subject.

Isn’t it ironic that if IndyCar becomes a bit more popular than it already is, it then becomes mainstream? Oh the irony.
