After doing some testing this fall, Jensen MotorSport has announced the signing of Canadian David Ostella for the 2011 Indy Lights season.

Ostella, 19, spent the last two seasons in the Star Mazda Championship with AIM Autosport. He logged seven top-10s this season, including a best finish of fourth at Autobahn. During his rookie campaign in 2008, he compiled five top-10s, including a career best third at Iowa Speedway.

Prior to his time in Star Mazda, Ostella spent a season in Formula BMW. Additionally, he has a solid karting background and can still be found behind-the-wheel of a kart on a frequent basis.

With the addition of engineer Remi Lanteigne to the Jensen stable and the guidance of team owner Eric Jensen, Ostella will have a solid opportunity to grow this season.
