2011 F2000 Championship Series Schedule

The F2000 Championship Series released its 2011 schedule earlier today. The calendar features 14 races spread over seven weekends. The F1600 Formula F Championship Series will run alongside the F2000 Championship on five weekends.

2011 F2000 Championship Series Schedule

April 8-10 VIRginia International Raceway
May 6-7 Road Atlanta
June 3-5 Watkins Glen International
June 30-July 2 Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course
July 22-24 Mosport
September 16-17 Lime Rock Park
October 14-16 Watkins Glen International

The schedule looks pretty solid. Similar to the F1600 schedule, the F2000 Championship Series will double-up on its stops at Watkins Glen International. I never like to see two stops at the same venue during the same season, but “The Glen” is an exceptional track so I can’t complain too much. It would have been nice to see the Series return to Road America, but, as a whole, the 2011 calendar looks good. It offers drivers a decent amount of seat time and the opportunity to run in conjunction with some high-profile fender events. The current schedule is labeled tentative, so stay tuned for updates.
