British F3 standout James Calado will join team ART next season in the GP3 Series.  The 21-year-old is making the jump to GP3 with the help of the Racing Steps Foundation.  This deal will mark the first time that the RSF has worked with a non-British racing team.

Calado is full of talent and will be a driver to watch next season, especially under the guidance of Frederic Vasseur and team ART.  The French team won the inaugural GP3 Championship this season with Esteban Gutierrez.

Competing with Carlin in the 2010 British F3 Series, Calado compiled five wins, 12 podiums, and two pole-positions. In 2009, he finished runner-up in Formula Renault UK with eight wins and 12 podiums.  Watch for big things from this up-and-comer next season in GP3.
