Inaugural GP3 Series’ Champion Esteban Gutierrez has been signed as Sauber’s F1 Test/Reserve driver for the 2011 season.  The 19-year-old Mexican driver claimed the GP3 Championship this year with five wins, nine podiums, and three pole positions.

In other F1 testing news, Virgin Racing has signed GP2 driver Jerome D’Ambrosio to run their car in four out of the next five Formula One first practice sessions. He will start in Singapore.

Both will take part in the Formula One Young Drivers Program scheduled for November.  More later.
