The June edition of the EFCN Driver Rankings was published this morning. Conor Daly — Yep, an American — claimed the top spot.  He is the first Star Mazda driver to do so.

The biggest movers inside the top-20 were Star Mazda competitors Rusty Mitchell and Joao Victor Horto.  Both drivers were named JOWT’s Unsung Heroes in 2009.  I guess they are proving me right this season (thanks guys).  Horto is up to 16th after being ranked 39th in May.  Mitchell is up 22-spots, coming in 10th after being ranked 32nd in the May release.

Nick Andries — who competes in Skip Barber and Star Mazda — made the biggest jump of anyone inside the top-50 by advancing 62-spots.  Andries was ranked 97th in May and now sits 35th overall.  Spencer Pigot, Skip Barber National competitor, made a big jump in June as well.  Pigot, who is now ranked 25th overall, improved 50-positions this month.

Farther back in the order Tristan Vautier (Star Mazda) jumped 55-spots to be ranked 120th.  With a few more races calculated in, he will likely catapult even further up the charts.  Fellow Frenchman J.K. Vernay (Indy Lights) is up to 118th with only five races under his belt.

Tatiana Calderon is up 77-spots, ranked 127th after coming in 204th last month.

USF2000 competitors Martin Scuncio and Raphael Abbate are both up 55 and 54 spots, respectively.  Abbate is coming off a really solid weekend in Iowa.

Anyway, there was a ton of movement this month so make sure to check out the full list.  It’s pretty depressing to see so many talented drivers listed as ‘Not-Active‘ with negative numbers in front of their name.
