Earlier this week, I wrote a column for The Ladder Report over at PopOffValve.com and a reader published an interesting link in the comment section that I’d like to share.
In the latest edition of GQ Magazine, Josh Dean wrote a piece on young go-kart racer Santino Ferrucci entitled The Great Santino. The lead in for the story starts like this…
“The most dominant young racer in America is an undersized 11-year-old with epic hair, a head full of Formula One dreams, and a name that just sounds fast.”
You can read the full feature here.
It’s nice to see go-kart racing featured in a mainstream publication like GQ. Santino Ferrucci has been very impressive in cadet competition and is currently in the process of graduating to junior-level karting, competing on both sides of the pond. He will be a fun driver to watch in the coming years.

Are you kidding me??? This is a joke.
Author should have done some research. This is embarrassing and (Ferrucci) is not a true reflection of what karting or open wheel racing is.
Santino is well deserving of his press as he has dominated his ranks for years and just turned 11 (for real). The sport of karting has never seen mainsteam articles such as Santino’s. Kudo’s to the kid
Just a follow up – Santino won in his Super One debut last weekend in the UK: http://www.karting1.co.uk/news/announcements/ferrucci-moves-to-msport-and-wins/
