Arie Luyendyk Jr. has signed with Andersen Racing to run the 2010 Indy Lights Freedom 100 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Luyendyk, 28, claimed his first career Indy Lights win in his last start, September 2008 (Chicago).
This year’s Freedom 100 will mark his 63rd Indy Lights start. He currently holds the record for most career starts. In 2008, Luyendyk drove for Andretti Autosport and was teamed up with current IndyCar driver Raphael Matos. He completed the year with six top-5 finishes en route to fourth place in the drivers’ championship.
He will join Carmen Jorda in the Andersen Racing camp at Indianapolis.
