Ben Searcy

Ben Searcy has re-signed with ZSports Midwest for 2010.  The 2009 F2000 Championship ‘Rookie of the Year’ plans to continue his quest up the motorsports ladder by competing in the 2010 USF2000 National Championship.  Searcy and ZSports Midwest will get things underway next week with a test day in Florida as they prepare for the series opener on the Streets of St. Petersburg.

Searcy was always pretty impressive in karts and he did extremely well last season during his rookie campaign in the F2000 Championship compiling 3 wins, 1 pole position, 4 podiums and 5 top-five finishes in 11 events. This was, perhaps, his most impressive drive of the season.

Because of his outstanding performance during the 2009 season, Searcy was nominated for the Team USA Scholarship.

I’m glad to see Ben and Ron Boltik (co-owner of ZSports Midwest) join forces again in 2010.  They seemed to match-up really well last season and I expect much of the same this year.
