It was announced this morning that the 2010 Star Mazda champion will receive a Indy Lights test. The prize will also be put into place for last year’s champ Adam Christodoulou. Christodoulou will likely complete the test later this month.
Adam, 20, previously tested a Indy Lights car with Bryan Herta Autosport at Mid-Ohio. He was also scheduled to take part in the “champions test” —along with Alexander Rossi— courtesy of Sam Schmidt Motorsports.
More recently he spent a few days testing an Atlantic Championship car with Team Stargate Worlds. Stay tuned for an official update on his 2010 plans.

If the Star Mazda Series winner only gets at Lights test, how is that “the Road to Indy”?
Sounds more like the “Road to Indy if you bring us $1million.”
Does the Star Mazda Champion still get a Formula Atlantic season? Even at the reduced price, that’s a prize.
Racing Yoda,
Thanks for the comment. You bring up a legitimate concern shared by many.
I expect that we will have a lot more answers in the coming months. I’m hopeful that this is just the beginning of what the Road to Indy will entail. In the meantime, a Indy Lights test is certainly a good start.
The squeeze on sponsorship money is reducing the sport to a rich kid’s arena quite quickly. I envision 1/3 fewer teams in the coming year. Too bad for the fast but underfunded.
Sponsors just do not get there moneys worth by trying to sponsor in AOWR. I guess if you are just trying to do a tax write off, then it is a perfect place. The only people that are watching are such a small small niche group of divided fans.
