C Hemingway- Thanks for the info. I will look into this. I'm hopeful that there is just a simple misunderstanding behind this. It seems very unlikely that a refund wouldn't be granted if it were, in fact, promised. From a business standpoint, there is just too much at stake for them not to make things right.

I sent an email to Kane Williams this morning and am currently awaiting a response.

As a follow-up to the article written regarding the PBIR Rookie Challenge scheduled to take place in March. I believe it's important that you and your readers know the truth about what actually occured. Drivers paid PBIR (Ron Dixon and Kane Williams) a $7,500 entry fee in good faith to participate in this event. Per Kane Williams, there was a total of 25 drivers. These drivers were given the guarantee that the entry fee would be 100% refunded in the event that the Rookie Challenge did not take place. On March 5th drivers were contacted by Ron Dixon and informed that the event had been cancelled. They were also informed by Ron Dixon that Dixon-Williams Racing (DBA - PBIR) would promptly refund the entry fee, in full, within 5 days. The monies were not refunded as promised. For 2 weeks following, Ron Dixon continued to inform these drivers that "the check was in the mail." Shortly after, Dixon-Williams Racing stopped returning phone calls and e-mails from these drivers. On March 25th the drivers received an unsigned "Promissory Note" via e-mail from Ron Dixon. Failed attempts to contact Ron Dixon regarding the validity of this "Note" has been frutal for many of these drivers. Drivers and sponsors please beware when doing business with this team.
