Last week, JP’s IndyCar blog posted an article entitled “Mazda to Indy Lights in 2010?”. The thought transpired after a few people noticed the airing of a Mazda commercial during an IndyCar event.
Then, earlier today, a controversial thread was posted over at Apex Speed involving Mazda powered F2000 cars for 2010. A USF2000 National Championship logo was found supporting a Mazda logo.
Apparently someone inadvertently discovered a logo on the USF2000 National Championship website in a public folder.
Obviously… none of this is official. But the question begs to be asked… Could It Be?

It makes total sense that they would work towards moving to the IRL. I love the Atlantics and want it to survive as much as anyone, but I can see it’s on it’s last legs.
Mazda moving into the USF2000 Series would be huge, as it would most likely signify a movement to the FIL series, and possibly the ICS in coming years.
