Salvador Duran

Salvador Duran will return to the World Series by Renault with Interwetten for the final two events of the season.  The series returns to action this weekend at the Nürburgring and then wraps up the 2009 schedule with a stop at Motorland Aragon.

Duran finished 2nd in the 2003 Skip Barber National Championship, just 16 points behind current Indy Car driver Rafa Matos.  Since that time, he has developed his craft in FR 2.0, British F3, A1GP (Team Mexico), GrandAm Rolex (Daytona Prototype), and FR 3.5.

The 24-year-old Mexican driver ran 15-races with Interwetten last season in the World Series by Renault.  His best finish occured at Silverstone where he won the race by 13.852 seconds over Marcos Martinez.

Duran has done a nice job of diversifying his skills and should be a front runner this weekend.
