Chris Miller, 20- Edina, Minnesota

Current Season: Chris recently won the 2009 F2000 Championship. He won 4 races, earned 7 pole positions, and finished on the podium 9 times.  He received the nickname Mr. Podium, after finishing inside the top-three in 75% of his race starts.

Previous Experience:

  • Karting
  • (2007) SCCA Formula Continental (Regional & National)
  • (2008) F2000 Championship (4th overall)

Why He Would Be A Good Selection:  Chris has been remarkably consistent over the last two seasons in F2000 Championship competition.  He is the oldest Team USA nominee, at a youthful 20 years of age, so his maturity and poise in the car should be extremely beneficial.  He handled the pressure of leading the championship perfectly in 2009 and that, in itself, is a very important attribute for any race car driver.  He has always been good in wet conditions and if the drivers face a wet racetrack in Europe, I expect him to stand out.
