Alexander Rossi Wins at Spa

This past weekend the International Formula Master series competed at the historic Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium.

American Alexander Rossi had another breakthrough weekend by claiming his second win of 2009 in Round 12 of the International Formula Master series.  The 17-year-old Californian drove from 4th on the grid to take the win by 0.849 seconds at the stripe.  Championship leader, Fabio Leimer finished in 2nd.  Rossi remains fifth in the overall championship standings and second in the “Rookie” championship. 

His first win of the season came at Brno in the Czech Republic. The series resumes action on September 5-6, 2009 at Oschersleben, Germany.  The season finale is scheduled to take place on September 19-20, 2009 at Imola.
