Star Mazda Driver Changes…

It’s that time of year when drivers start to evaluate every option to keep themselves in a race car.  Teams are doing the same,… trying to make sure all their cars are in use.  There have been quite a few rumors circulating about rotating drivers in the Star Mazda series.  Here is what I have come up with.

Michael Furfari has left Juncos Racing and will continue his efforts with Mundill Racing.

Walt Bowlin has also left Juncos and will join Furfari at Mundill.

Championship leader, Peter Dempsey, will remain at Juncos Racing despite the circulating rumor that he will re-join AIM Autosport.  I spoke to Peter this morning and he stated he will be running the final three events with Juncos.

Toshihro Deki has left Goshen Motorsports and will join Juncos Racing for this weekend’s race at Mosport.

World Speed Motorsports driver Chris Cumming will not be in attendance this weekend as he will be competing in Ironman Canada.

Taylor Hacquard will be re-joining World Speed Motorsports for the final two events.  He will not be participating at Mosport due to lingering issues with his concussion from the Iowa Speedway event.  He plans to be back in the car at Road Atlanta.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Did Goshen Motorsports FAIL or did Deki just leave?

Has Kester 3G Racing failed too?? No #24/ #48 cars Cumming returning with World Speed (after IM) & add Hacquard to this team as well.
