Two Formula BMW-Americas drivers will make the jump to Star Mazda in 2009. Aim Autosport has announced their 2009 Star Mazda roster: David Ostella and Jorge Goncalvez.

Both drivers had a mediocre year in Formula BMW, but performed very well in their Star Mazda tests at Savannah and Sebring with AIM Autosport.

Team Manager Kevin Willis seems to be approaching the season in the right manner,…

“We are looking forward to the start of the season and developing both David and Jorge into drivers with the ability to win races and make their mark in the racing community.”

Both drivers are 17-years-old and have done quite well in the karting ranks, so it will be fun watching them develop in 2009. AIM Autosport has a proven record in the Star Mazda series. Based on the comments from the team in the press release, it looks like these two have chosen the best environment to develop their skills.
