Greg Beck and Steve Sudler, owners of the newest IndyCar team; Team 3G, made the announcement that they will partner Kester Racing, a Star Mazda team, in 2009 and beyond. The joint agreement creates a development system for drivers looking to move from Star Mazda to Indy Lights and eventually into the IndyCar series. For more detailed info, you can read the official release here.

It’s nice to see teams working on setting up ladder/development programs for their aspiring drivers. Kester Racing, which is based out of Texas, runs the brother and sister combo of J.C. Kester and Kristy Kester. Both drivers have shown promise and will continue their development in the Star Mazda Championship for 2009, with hopes of graduating to the Indy Lights/IndyCar series within the next few years.
